Abby & Justin’s Rustic Ratho Farm Wedding

bride and groom with their bridal party, bride has popped a bottle of champagne and is spraying champagne. The bridal party are standing in long grass

You would legitimately be hard-pressed to find two people who are more easy-going and laidback than Abby & Justin. We first caught up on a zoom call in the month or two before their wedding and I think we could’ve spent more time discussing my (Lochie) dance-floor exploits at previous weddings than we did talking about the actual wedding plans.

Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Abby & Justin had intended to have their wedding ceremony down next to the river that runs through Ratho Farm, however due to some extreme La Nina rainfall, getting married by the river would’ve meant standing in waist-deep water! So in the end they made the call to have their ceremony in the super cute, rustic barn on the farm property. Not only did this result in a super cosy, warm environment for all of their guests, but it added a real feeling of intimacy and romance - big fan tbh.

Anyway, with the formalities out of the way (and after making perhaps the best bridal party entrance I’ve ever seen to Flash by Queen), a feast of pizza and bulk gin cocktails ensued, which itself led to some serious d-floor action later in the night. Thanks so much for having me guys, what an epic day!
